YorKAOS is an art exhibition organized by a group of York primary school children with the help of their parents. We are not a community group, charity, or business.

Information We Collect:

When artists submit their artwork, we collect the information they provide in the submission form. We also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help prevent spam.

Media:

We recommend that artists avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS).

Cookies:

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find our website. This is enabled by a plugin on our WordPress site.

How We Use Your Information:

We may use your email address to
– Send updates about the art exhibition.
– Respond to inquiries or requests

We add you to our Mailchimp mailing list with your permission when submitting artwork.

Data Retention:

We will delete your email address from our Gmail account and Mailchimp mailing list within one year of the exhibition.

We will keep images of submitted artwork on our website for five years after the exhibition. This is to maintain a record of past exhibitions and might inspire future submissions.

Your Data Rights:

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you.

Where Your Information Goes:

Artist submissions may be checked through Google Recaptcha, an automated spam detection service. We send your email address to Mailchimp if we need to share important information with all artists.
